We are proud to announce our full range of youth programs ranging from basic firearm safety to the handling of both rifles and pistols.

 

youth safety program

A youth firearm safety course for students aged 7 to 17. Throughout this course, students will be taught the importance of safety around firearms. In a range environment, they will learn about different types of guns including semi-automatic and revolver handguns, bolt and lever-action rifles and shotguns. They will also cover the fundamentals of marksmanship, ammunition and loading and malfunctions. 

Students will need to be accompanied by parent or guardian. Students will have the opportunity to use the firing range with parental approval.

Requirements: Parental permission with signed waiver and parent must stay on premises, parent must bring firearm for student to use, 50 rounds of ammunition.

youth handgun I

This course will teach kids and their parent(s) how to safely handle their pistols. This will include stance, grip, sight picture, loading/unloading and clearing malfunctions.

Requirements: Successful completion of the Youth Safety Program, eye and ear protection, closed-toe shoes, semi-automatic pistol (no revolvers) in any caliber, 250 rounds of ammunition.

Youth Handgun II

This course will teach kids and their parent(s) new techniques such as shooting from behind objects, drawing the weapon from a holster, reloads and basic movement. There will also be an in-depth review of Youth Handgun I.

Requirements: Successful completion of Youth Safety Course and Youth Handgun I, eye and ear protection, closed-toe shoes, holster, magazine pouch, two magazines, a semi-automatic pistol in any caliber (no revolvers), 250 rounds of ammunition.

Kids' Brazilian Jiu Jitsu

Close Quarters Tactical has teamed up with Victorious MMA to offer a kids' Brazilian Jiu Jitsu program for kids aged 5-14. Classes are on Monday, Wednesday and Friday evenings from 6-7pm. 

Requirements: Gi, mouth guard, water bottle.
