Service Description
The Advanced SRT Officer Training (ASOT) course is a 5-day, 40-hour program designed to enhance the skills and operational capability of experienced law enforcement tactical team members. This advanced Close Quarters Battle (CQB) program builds upon foundational CQB knowledge and focuses on more complex team operations, decision-making, and leadership in high-risk environments. ASOT was developed in response to requests from law enforcement tactical teams seeking advanced CQB training to improve team effectiveness, coordination, and readiness. The course is taught by subject matter experts with backgrounds in U.S. Special Operations units, bringing real-world operational experience to the training environment. Throughout the course, officers focus on advanced CQB movement, multi-room flow, and tactical decision-making while operating within two-man, four-man, and full squad elements. Emphasis is placed on maintaining situational awareness, managing angles of responsibility, and coordinating effectively with team members during complex operations. Students will train in mechanical and manual methods of entry, actions after breach, and techniques for managing barricaded or multi-room environments. Additional instruction covers cross cover, barrel release, and deconfliction to ensure safe and effective team movement within confined spaces. The course also incorporates team leader development, providing officers with the opportunity to manage movement, communication, and tactical decisions during team-based CQB exercises. Training progresses through dry runs, simmunition scenarios, and live-fire iterations, allowing officers to apply advanced CQB principles under realistic conditions. Teams will conduct full operations on target using the tactics developed throughout the course. The program culminates with force-on-force scenarios and Final Mission Problems (FMPs) involving role players, where students must apply advanced CQB tactics, communication, and leadership skills in dynamic environments. ASOT is designed to elevate officers to a higher operational level while strengthening the overall capability and readiness of their tactical team.
