Service Description

The Manual, Mechanical, and Ballistic Breaching course provides law enforcement tactical teams with the knowledge and practical skills required to safely and effectively conduct breaching operations during tactical entries. The training focuses on understanding the proper application of breaching methods, tools, and tactics used to defeat barriers while maintaining team safety and operational efficiency. Students will learn the fundamentals of manual, mechanical, and ballistic breaching, including how each method is applied depending on the structure, door type, and operational environment. Instruction emphasizes selecting the appropriate breaching technique while minimizing risk to team members and occupants. The course also covers door construction and identification, allowing officers to recognize different door types and determine the most effective attack points. Students will gain familiarity with a variety of breaching tools, breaching weapons, and specialized ammunition, along with the safety considerations required when using each method. Training also addresses avenues of approach and danger points commonly encountered during breaching operations. Officers will learn how to identify hazards, manage positioning, and maintain proper team coordination during the breach. In addition to breacher responsibilities, the course explores team dynamics during breaching operations, including communication, positioning, and actions immediately following the breach. Students will practice actions at breach, ensuring the entry team can safely and effectively move through the point of entry once access is gained. This course provides officers with a solid understanding of breaching principles and the practical considerations necessary to conduct safe and effective tactical entries. Cancellation Policy

Close Quarters Tactical Registration Agreement, Policies & Liability Waiver By submitting a registration for any Close Quarters Tactical (CQT) course, class, or event, you acknowledge that you have read, understand, and agree to the following terms and policies. Registration & Payment Submitting a registration does not guarantee a reservation. You are not officially registered until full payment is received. Registrations are processed on a first-come, first-served basis. CQT reserves the right to deny or cancel any registration at its discretion. Cancellation, Rescheduling & Refund Policy No-shows will not be eligible for refunds or rescheduling. Cancellations made at least fourteen (14) days prior to the scheduled class date are eligible for a full refund. Cancellations made between fourteen (14) and three (3) days prior to the class are not eligible for a monetary refund but may be rescheduled to a future available class. Course dates may be changed up to forty-eight (48) hours prior to the class start time, subject to availability. Each registration may be rescheduled once. All cancellation or reschedule requests must be submitted in writing. Media Release CQT may photograph or record classes for marketing, educational, or promotional purposes. Participants will be given the opportunity to opt out at the start of the class or by contacting mckayla.carlson@cqtusa.com prior to, during, or after the event. CQT is not liable for removing media published prior to an opt-out request but will make reasonable efforts to update content on CQT-controlled platforms. Assumption of Risk & Liability Waiver Participation in CQT training involves physically demanding activities and inherent risks, including injury, illness, or property damage. You voluntarily assume all risks associated with participation and release, waive, and hold harmless Close Quarters Tactical, its owners, employees, instructors, contractors, and affiliates from any claims or liabilities arising from participation, including those resulting from ordinary negligence, to the fullest extent permitted by law. Medical Acknowledgment & Acceptance You certify that you are physically and mentally capable of participating and agree to inform instructors of any limitations. By submitting your registration, you confirm you are at least 18 years of age (or have guardian consent), understand this agreement, and voluntarily accept all terms and conditions stated above.
