Service Description
The Shoot House Instructor Course is a 3-day, 24-hour program designed to prepare instructors to safely plan, manage, and conduct training inside a shoot house environment. This course is intended for law enforcement, military, and training personnel responsible for supervising or instructing close-quarters battle (CQB) training in live-fire structures. Students will learn the principles behind shoot house design, construction considerations, and safety protocols, gaining an understanding of how these elements impact training operations and risk management. Emphasis is placed on maintaining strict safety standards while conducting dynamic CQB training. The course also focuses on instructor development, helping students build the skills needed to effectively brief, supervise, and coach operators during shoot house iterations. Participants will learn how to structure training events, manage student movement, and maintain clear communication throughout an exercise. A refresher on the fundamentals of room clearing and CQB movement is included to ensure instructors understand the techniques they are responsible for teaching and supervising. Students will review core principles of movement, communication, and team coordination in confined environments. Throughout the course, students will gain practical experience assisting with and managing shoot house training evolutions under instructor supervision. The goal is to develop instructors who can confidently run safe and productive training inside live-fire structures. By the end of the program, graduates will have the knowledge and practical understanding necessary to support and conduct shoot house training while maintaining the highest safety standards. Cancellation Policy
Close Quarters Tactical Registration Agreement, Policies & Liability Waiver By submitting a registration for any Close Quarters Tactical (CQT) course, class, or event, you acknowledge that you have read, understand, and agree to the following terms and policies. Registration & Payment Submitting a registration does not guarantee a reservation. You are not officially registered until full payment is received. Registrations are processed on a first-come, first-served basis. CQT reserves the right to deny or cancel any registration at its discretion. Cancellation, Rescheduling & Refund Policy No-shows will not be eligible for refunds or rescheduling. Cancellations made at least fourteen (14) days prior to the scheduled class date are eligible for a full refund. Cancellations made between fourteen (14) and three (3) days prior to the class are not eligible for a monetary refund but may be rescheduled to a future available class. Course dates may be changed up to forty-eight (48) hours prior to the class start time, subject to availability. Each registration may be rescheduled once. All cancellation or reschedule requests must be submitted in writing. Media Release CQT may photograph or record classes for marketing, educational, or promotional purposes. Participants will be given the opportunity to opt out at the start of the class or by contacting mckayla.carlson@cqtusa.com prior to, during, or after the event. CQT is not liable for removing media published prior to an opt-out request but will make reasonable efforts to update content on CQT-controlled platforms. Assumption of Risk & Liability Waiver Participation in CQT training involves physically demanding activities and inherent risks, including injury, illness, or property damage. You voluntarily assume all risks associated with participation and release, waive, and hold harmless Close Quarters Tactical, its owners, employees, instructors, contractors, and affiliates from any claims or liabilities arising from participation, including those resulting from ordinary negligence, to the fullest extent permitted by law. Medical Acknowledgment & Acceptance You certify that you are physically and mentally capable of participating and agree to inform instructors of any limitations. By submitting your registration, you confirm you are at least 18 years of age (or have guardian consent), understand this agreement, and voluntarily accept all terms and conditions stated above.
